Who is Rowan Barrett ‘RJ’?

Rowan Barrett or ‘RJ’ is widely regarded as the next big Canadian prospect at the Wing position. With an already impressive offensive package, Barrett has proven that his scoring ability rivals any prospect in the 2019 class. At the 2015 FIBA Americas U16 Championship Barrett ranked 7th in scoring (14.6 Pts), 2nd in FG percentage (50.9%), 5th in 3PT percentage (41.2), and he led all guards in 2PT Field goal percentage (55%). Listed at 6`5 Barrett uses his length to finish with an arsenal of gathering and finishing moves, add in a smooth shooting stroke and you have a prospect who attacks like Kevin Martin shoots like James Harden simply put RJ can score the basketball.

Rowan`s coming out party came last summer as he led the U15 Ontario Provincial team to a 93-53 victory of Quebec in the gold medal game. He finished with 37 points & 7 rebounds on a monster 17-25 from the field in 38 minutes of play. At the Bio-Steel All Canadian Futures game he finished with a game high 25 points and took home the player of the player of the game award. Sky is the limit for Barrett not only because of his talent but his basketball pedigree.
